Indonesia

Indonesia’s economy grew more than 6% annually between 2010 – 2012, and it has continued to outperform its regional neighbors. Growth in alcohol consumption in Indonesia has been slow and steady, and contributed by wealthy Indonesians, the country’s expatriate community and tourism. Alcohol is heavily taxed by the Government, but the number of importers is increasing to assist with international wine imports, 70% is from New World wine producing contries. Indonesia wine production is still in its infancy, but anticipated to see continuous growth.
