Best White Wine
Grace Winery, Grace Gris de Gris de Koshu, JAPAN, 2015. BEST TROPHY
Lively and vibrant. The magnificent bouquet of white florals, orange blossoms and chalk add a high level of sophistication to the wine. The palate is expansive whilst holding a tightly-wound mineral profile driven by citrus-like acidity. A classy wine with drinkabilty beyond just enjoyable.
Chateau Mercian, Mariko Vineyard, JAPAN, Sauvignon Blanc, 2015. GOLD MEDAL
Orange blossom and lime peel aromas with a delicate X-factor on the palate. Nice overall varietal characteristics and refinement with good lingering minerality. Wonderful expression of Sauvignon Blanc.
Recanati Winery, Chardonnay Reserve, ISRAEL, 2014. GOLD MEDAL
Light pale golden color and hue. Moderate varietal aroma. Light touch of tgrapre fruit, tropical melons and a bees waxy finish. The clever use of oak maturation over fine lees is noticeable and well prescribed to add complexity. Rich yet still lively and refreshing.
